Spirit is willing, the flesh is weak, only one foundation is solid rock.

Mark 14:38
Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Sometimes i find i become saddened and hurt after putting hope on a person. People are weak, and this can be expected, but too often do we put our hope and faith in people and things, and end up disappointed. But there is one that will never fail to keep us strong when we submit to Him.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

There is a void that exists in all of us that can be summed up in this song:

Artist: Plumb
Song: God-Shaped Hole

Every point of view has another angle
And every angle has its merit
But it all comes down to faith
Thats the way I see it

You can say that love is not divine and
You can say that life is not eternal
"All we have is now"
But I don't believe it

There's a God-shaped hole in all of us
And the restless soul is searching
There's a God-shaped hole in all of us
And it's a void only he can fill

Does the world seem gray with empty longing
Wearing every shade of cynical
And do you ever feel that
There is something missing?

That's my point of view...

There is only one foundation that can make our faith solid..

Matthew 7:

The Wise and Foolish Builders
24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

Ian Eskelin Lyrics

"Ian Eskelin The Solid Rock lyrics"

On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand

My hope is built on nothing less
Than His righteousness alone
And so I'll stand faultless
Before the throne

When all around my soul gives way
I will lean on Jesus' name

When darkness tries to fill my days
I've got His unchanging grace
Cos' at the cross He said my name
And took my place

When everything comes crumbling down
In Him alone I will be found

My hope is built on nothing less

here i am.

I want to take a break from myspace and CF/foru, so i am here.

A lot going on right now. I realize how important it is to keep my eyes on the Lord because everything else is "sinking sand."

I love a girl far away, and the Lord tells me to trust Him and wait for Him and her.

Job hunting is difficult with my school hours.

A lot of things happening right now, and it is so easy to get caught up in those, rather than pay attention to spiritual priorities.

I tell you, if you do not spend enough time with God, reading His Word, prayer, and fellowship, it shows.

My home is a mess currently and a lot of this is attributed to my state of mind, struggling with depression. But i realize the more time I spend with God, i find more of the joy and peace of the Lord even if I am not happy about other things and He motivates me to take care of things better.

But sometimes I am feeling distanced from God, from lack of enough time with Him, and sometimes consumed with what is bothering me, that I get very depressed and nothing gets done.

I also have Epilepsy, and I believe the Lord heals people of it, as i have heard testimonies of that, but i know I need stronger faith that He will heal me. The same goes for a relationship I often am worried about with this woman I love from China. It reminds me that the Lord is key.

If you are from Christianforums.com/Foru.ms you will notice they changed policy and a lot of witches, new agers, and athiests are moderators there threatening people who talk about God and spiritual things. This is a spiritual battle, but it shows when Christ is not the focus, things are not the same as if when He is.

5 This is what the Lord says:
“Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans,
who rely on human strength
and turn their hearts away from the Lord.
6 They are like stunted shrubs in the desert,
with no hope for the future.
They will live in the barren wilderness,
in an uninhabited salty land.

7 “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord
and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
8 They are like trees planted along a riverbank,
with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat
or worried by long months of drought.
Their leaves stay green,
and they never stop producing fruit.
